Our Rates Are Changing — and What It Means for You
At AMC Echo Lake Camp, our mission has always been to create meaningful outdoor experiences that nurture connection, learning, and community. To keep doing that sustainably — for both our guests and our staff — we're making some thoughtful changes to our rates.
Over the past few years, we've experienced a significant rise in operating costs — from food and materials to utilities, insurance, and labor. At the same time, we've restructured our compensation model to increase fairness, equity and transparency, and reinforce our capital reserves. These reserves help us weather unexpected challenges and plan for future facility improvements, ensuring that we remain resilient and financially healthy for years to come. We are trying to anticipate and equitably distribute the costs of sustaining the camp.
The updated rates now reflect the full cost of your stay as well as the real costs of operating responsibly in today's environment, including acceptance of credit cards to pay your bill. Another significant change is an update to our compensation model. We've moved away from a tipped wage model for the Croo, reflecting our commitment to equitable and transparent compensation. As a camper, you will no longer be expected to tip the Croo.
We're grateful for your continued support as we build a more equitable and sustainable future for AMC Echo Lake Camp — and for everyone who calls this place home.
We can't wait to welcome you into Camp in 2026!
