Echo Staff
Echo Lake Camp is run by a group of four senior staff who are dedicated to making the camp run as smoothly as possible. Their talents are augmented by a staff of young, enthusiastic members of the "croo" who take on the daily tasks of keeping the camp clean and the campers fed.

The AMC Echo Lake Camp committee hires the camp managers, approves the budget, solicits leaders, and develops camp policies. The committee is elected from those camp guests who have stated a willingness to serve a three year term of office.

Live for free in Acadia National Park in a cozy cabin while working in downeast Maine family camp! Camp serves three family-style meals each day in the dining hall. After breakfast, most campers go on guided hikes until lunch. The weekly dinner menu includes a lobster bake and a mussels’ picnic.

Prepare meals and snacks as scheduled and instructed according to pre-planned menus and established meal times. Assist the Cook in creating appropriate menus for the season, holidays and specialty dinners. Welcome and assist visitors and guests in a positive manner. Clean, sanitize and inspect all areas maintained by the Kitchen Staff on a daily basis and as needed, Support and direct Kitchen Staff in the preparation and cleaning duties for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Duties:- Drive campers to and from hiking locations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols
- Monitor the mechanical performance of the bus and be proactive
- Driving four days a week
- Driving from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. three days a week (generally Monday, Tuesday, and Friday) and on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Some flexibility required.
